Adam L.
Adam
Lawson has been playing the drums for eight years, and after his first
year of study was invited to join the worship team at his church, where
he played for seven more years. Adam, a kind and sensitive
teacher, has been
married for two years. Recently he and his wife moved to the Bay Area
to further his college education. For several years they taught preschool-age children together at their church,
and both share a love for
children. Adam has a strong technical background in music and a natural
gift and passion for
teaching others. Starting with the basics, Adam teaches his students simple music theory, stick technique and rudiments before moving on to set beats and snare solos and then on to the rest of the trap set. Although he enjoys drawing from his strong technical background, he keeps the focus on having fun! He has both led and participated in several bands and loves sharing his music.
Adam has been part of The Music Place faculty since the beginning of 2009 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Digital arts and animation at Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale. He teaches in the late afternoon and evenings.
TEACHING LOCATIONS: Baywood, Willow Street.

"Our daughter, Melissa, loves her music class, and she looks forward to the recitals. She's made friends and become more confident. We'd recommend the Music Place to anyone. -- Melissa's parents, Kathy & Matt, Los Gatos" .
I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
