Allisyn K. is a gifted young pianist who has been studying piano seriously since she was 7 years old. Participating in the Certificate of Merit program for many years, she has received numerous awards from the Music Teacher's Association for her brilliant compositions and music theory accomplishments. With four older siblings who studied at The Music Place, it was a natural for Allisyn to apply for our young teacher apprenticeship program in the fall of 2011. She passed her technical exam at The Music Place with flying colors, impressing the director with her versatility as she presented sensitive yet powerful performances of a Beethoven sonata and then a fun, followed by a rarely heard ragtime piece.
In 2014 Allisyn recieved her A.A. in Music and her Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance at San Jose State University. She attends Hillside Church and loves working with very young children in the Awanas program and has also helped support a musical theatre program at the same church. In her spare time, Allisyn enjoys reading and of course music. She is currently a student at West Valley College.
She enjoys using her skills in music with children in a way that keeps things fun and creative for even the youngest of kids. She has a friendly, quiet but fun way about her that will help any student feel safe and successful.

I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
