Allisyn K. is a gifted young pianist who has been studying piano seriously since she was 7 years old. Participating in the Certificate of Merit program for many years, she has received numerous awards from the Music Teacher's Association for her brilliant compositions and music theory accomplishments. With four older siblings who studied at The Music Place,  Allisyn was a natural to apply for our young teacher apprenticeship program in the fall of 2011. She passed her technical exam at The Music Place with flying colors, impressing the director with her versatility as she presented sensitive yet powerful performances of a Beethoven sonata and then followed with a fun, rarely heard ragtime piece.

In 2016 Allisyn earned Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance at San Jose State University, and in 2019 she completed her Master's Degree. Some of our college apprentice teachers have studied with her while teaching at SJSU.  She attends Hillside Church and loves working with very young children in the Awanas program and has also helped support a musical theatre program at the same church. In her spare time, Allisyn enjoys reading and of course music.
