Juan Angel holds a Master's Degree in music from Manhattan School of Music. Also known as Angel, he is one of our own. He began taking Early Music Awareness (EMA) classes at The Music Place when he was just 2 years old, and from there developed an intense love for music, dance, and the arts. In addition to studying piano. guitar, voice and drums at The Music Place before college, Juan Angel has training in various dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop, and has been involved in choirs, mariachi groups, and theatre productions. . Having graduated from fine arts magnet, Lincoln High School, Juan Angel received his undergradaute degrree in music from San Jose State University before he was accepted into the prestigious Manhattan School of Music where he received his MA. He plans to continue in the arts as a career.
He has won numerous awards, including San Francisco Bay Area National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in the collegiate category.
Teaching Style
Angel's main focus in teaching is to help children develop love and appreciation for the arts. It is most important to him that the children always feel included, accepted, and that they have fun!
