Mila has been teaching piano at The Music Place since 2001. Many of her students stay with her until they go away to college.  Beginners and experienced alike love her!

Graduated from Russian Music School in 1970, she attended Belarusian State University, where she earned a Masters Degree in Art. She began her teaching career working with students as a college youth counselor and later as a vice principal and art teacher with high-risk kids until she moved to the United States in 1995. Since Mila joined the faculty of The Music Place in 2001, parents have consistently given glowing reports about her.

Mila's hobbies include interior design, drawing, painting, knitting, and reading. She also loves animals (especially cats), horses, and dogs (especially golden retrievers, cavalier King Charles spaniels, and East European shepherds).

Teaching Style

Mila is a firm but fun teacher who with her musical training is able to creatively help kids move into repertoire that helps them feel great about what they are accomplishing. She's encouraging and patient. Although her European training was rigorous, kids enjoy Mila's fun style and her gentle personality.
